confetti confetti....

I love confetti moments at weddings. It was the one photograph I wish I had of been lucky enough to have. Damn the rain! I love the way everyone still bursts with excitement as they throw the confetti over the the newlyweds. I love the way couples laugh blissfully happily despite getting a mouthful of tissue paper! I have always loved how the photographer is so proud that they the got the shoot just as the precise second to capture the result from confetti flinging moment. But and there is a but…nowaday, lots of venues, hotels and churches don’t allow confetti anymore.

I can understand why, I mean, It gets in all the smallest of places and someone has to clear it away, and it is virtually impossible to remove, especially if there is a touch of moisture in the air. Its strong colouring means that it can stain historic buildings and ancient stones, not good for graveyards.

However, there is an alternative, you can get eco friendly, bio degradeable, and its pretty too.

Autumn weddings......

Oh I love autumn!! It's my favourite time of the year ! Especially doing the school run in the morning with my jumper dresses and the uggs' !
Autumn to me is all about the earthy colours, deep oranges and browns, lots of homemade things with things from the garden! All twigs, leaves, fur cones with a bit of ribbon and glue an make the perfect centre piece or even homemade button holes !
