Rustic Christmas is the perfect Christmas theme!!

On this weeks blog we saw everything from dapper grooms to Art Deco dresses.

On Monday, we gave you dapper grooms. The groom status has moved throughout the years, looking for a suit, is just important as the brides dresses. And it's not all about a morning suit.

Tuesday we saw pom poms, thank you to Kirstie Allsop! Pom poms make a great a venue decoration, they are quick and easy to make, and whatever you want. From paper pom poms to wool pom poms!!!

Wednesday Kayleigh bought us cakes!! Thank you to Paul and Mary!! Cakes have really taking off over the last 18 months, and are a huge talking point of any wedding, from wonky cakes, to scrummy cupcakes!! I recently attended a friends wedding who had a chocywockydodah cake, and wow it was amazing!

Wedding favours

Wedding favours have moved on from the 80's classic of the sugared almonds.
Wedding favours range from cheap and chic to elegant and expensive.
I love the DIY wedding favours, including jams and chutneys, seeds, bath bombs and soaps. Favours can also make great place names too, how about a chocolate plaque with your guests name on.
Homemade chocolate and truffles also make a fantastic gift for your guest!! Don't forget the children at your wedding too, instead of favours, why not make a little box of goodies, which could include, a colouring book, pencils, pocket games, and bubbles.

Let them eat cake!!!

Cake is a massive feature at any wedding! With successful tv shows like the great British bake off and ace of cakes. Cakes and baking are really on trend for 2014. Wedding cakes can be simple and elegant, to over the top and show stopping. And we aren't just seeing the rich fruit cake anymore. Flavoured sponges are becoming more and more popular, with the obsession with cupcakes flavours are becoming  more and more elaborate, like banana, coconut, bubblegum the possibilities are endless.

Wedding FAQ'S

Good morning and thanks god its friday!

Today's blog is about all those little wedding questions you just can't quite figure out!
Here is my list of the top frequently asked wedding questions.

Who Should Be the First to Know About My Engagement?

DO NOT broadcast the news (photos included) to social network sites before sharing your engagement with your family and friends. If you have any children from a previous relationship, they should be told first hen Parents, family members, and anyone you are particularly close with should also be told before the news is public knowledge.

Can I Have Someone Besides My Father Walk Me Down the Aisle?

Traditionally its the bride’s father who walks her down the aisle, but you can have anyone who is important such as your mom or step dad, brother or sister to walk you down the aisle. You can even walk alone or with more than one person or even a family pet!

How Do I Get My Guests to RSVP?

Allow guests at least 28 days between the invitation’s arrival and the RSVP deadline to amend any plans or holiday,  Sending pre-stamped envelopes or cards or responses by email will encourage guests to respond quicker.

What Are Duties as a Bridesmaid?

Bridesmaids generally assist in the planning of the wedding, help the bride choose her dress, attend fittings for their own dresses.  Though it often makes sense for bridesmaids to throw the hen night, they are not required to do so.

Is It Okay to Use Mobiles to Upload Pictures During the Wedding?

When in doubt, it’s better to ask the couple’s permission before posting photos to any social media outlet—especially during the ceremony. Uploading photos not only distracts you from participating in the moment, but it also broadcasts details of the event to people who may not have been invited.

I’m Paying for the Wedding Myself, How Can I Tell My Parents I Don’t Want to Invite Certain People?

It may be best to give your parents a certain number of guests they can invite to your wedding,  If there are certain people you do not want in attendance, it’s best to have a private and honest conversation when you first discuss the guest list. Don’t insist your parents feel comfortable with the situation, but be clear about your wishes.
