Japanese Cherry Blossom Beauties

I absolutely adore Japansese Cherry Blossoms. And with the beautiful sunshine we have had over the weekend, it makes me so happy to know they will be on show soon! The gentle pink hue of the petals is so pretty for a wedding, light and refreshing as well as romantic and tranquil. A great idea if you wanted a Japanese or Asian theme to your big day, but be sure to book the wedding in the season of flowering for your home country or all you will miss the big show!

The Japanese symbolise the cherry blossom as clouds, as well as a metaphor for life. There are over 200 different species known in Japan, often used in Anime, Manga, films, housewares and just about anything else you can buy. And for those in the UK looking for a Cherry Tree covered in petals to get photos near, how about heading over to Batsford Arboretum in Gloucestershire which holds the National collection of Japanese village cherries, or Keele University in Staffordshire who has one of the UK's largest collections of over 150 flowering species.

You can use them for centre piece decorations which is the most common way to incorporate them into your day. Also the bouquets and buttonholes can be designed with the tree branches and twigs, taking care not to destroy the flowers. You could also try many of the hire places to see if they have any Japanese Cherry Blossom trees to get for your ceremony, or maybe you could just do all the legalities down the registry office, and find yourself a beautiful park to hold a blessing ceremony instead, walking your way through the falling flowers. Options are also available for decor for your wedding cake and invites, or as pattern for your dress by using small fabric flowers along the bust and having them look like they are gracefully floating down the dress. Of course you don't have to adorn a dress covered in blossoms, instead opt for a very subtle pink to match the theme of the day. Have a look below for more!
