Japanese Cherry Blossom Beauties

I absolutely adore Japansese Cherry Blossoms. And with the beautiful sunshine we have had over the weekend, it makes me so happy to know they will be on show soon! The gentle pink hue of the petals is so pretty for a wedding, light and refreshing as well as romantic and tranquil. A great idea if you wanted a Japanese or Asian theme to your big day, but be sure to book the wedding in the season of flowering for your home country or all you will miss the big show!

The Japanese symbolise the cherry blossom as clouds, as well as a metaphor for life. There are over 200 different species known in Japan, often used in Anime, Manga, films, housewares and just about anything else you can buy. And for those in the UK looking for a Cherry Tree covered in petals to get photos near, how about heading over to Batsford Arboretum in Gloucestershire which holds the National collection of Japanese village cherries, or Keele University in Staffordshire who has one of the UK's largest collections of over 150 flowering species.

You can use them for centre piece decorations which is the most common way to incorporate them into your day. Also the bouquets and buttonholes can be designed with the tree branches and twigs, taking care not to destroy the flowers. You could also try many of the hire places to see if they have any Japanese Cherry Blossom trees to get for your ceremony, or maybe you could just do all the legalities down the registry office, and find yourself a beautiful park to hold a blessing ceremony instead, walking your way through the falling flowers. Options are also available for decor for your wedding cake and invites, or as pattern for your dress by using small fabric flowers along the bust and having them look like they are gracefully floating down the dress. Of course you don't have to adorn a dress covered in blossoms, instead opt for a very subtle pink to match the theme of the day. Have a look below for more!

**Featured Supplier** - Baytree Pizza Oven

Another Friday has arrived which means another fabulous supplier for you to feast your eyes on. Today we are lucky to have Baytree Pizza Oven on the blog. They specialise in a mobile pizzeria which produces very tasty, wood-fired pizzas (I was very lucky to try it at the EDP fair) which are great for weddings as who doesn't like pizza? An edible delight for the young and old, have a read for more!

Who are you?

Baytree is a mobile pizzeria that can be set up in practically any location, making it the perfect choice for your private function or event.

How did you get into your chosen career?

We have always loved pizza and the relaxed way in which the Italians enjoy their food, so after a trip to Italy a few years ago we decided to take the plunge and buy our first wood-fired oven. We started out doing local food festivals and events, but gradually began to get booked up for weddings all over East Anglia. It has been so popular we now have several ovens and a very full diary!

What do you offer brides and grooms?

People love the fact our pizza oven is such a feature at their wedding plus our unlimited pizza package means that they don't have to worry about running out of food! Also, we pride ourselves in our pizza dough, which is made freshly every day and gives the thin crust base that lovely crunch. We have also recently introduced crepes to our repertoire as it is something else that people can see made right in front of them, whilst being a bit different from the usual wedding day dessert. The next thing on our hit list is wood-fired catering. We are currently working with a great chef to come up with some really exciting menus to cater for more formal dining with a difference. watch this space!

And here's where to find them!

Gold

Gold. Such a luxurious colour! I love it; it works so well with so many other colours. It's so compatible. It's great with pinks, peaches, black, white, blues and greens.

I think it's such a wonderful wedding colour. Plus it's so easy (and cheap) to spray items gold to match your theme. And no one would know all you'd done was buy a can a spray paint! Or you can get some glue and some gold glitter... Fantastic results!

As for gold dresses; if you get them right they can look amazing. Just don't go to overboard on the sequins and you'll be ok. And as for the gold wedding cakes! Wow.

A simple way to make your wedding look more extravagant than it cost! What would you turn gold for the day? Glasses? Plates? Branches? Your nails? Flowers? A car?? The possibilities are endless...

Who Doesn't Love a Classic Campervan?!

Good morning! I hope you all enjoyed the glorious sunshine yesterday. With the sunshine comes the first dash of hope that the sunshine will soon be accompanied by warmth. And along with all of that a wonderful summer! And what does summer make me think of (apart from BBQs, sunbathing and summer dresses)? Volkswagen campervans! I think they're a beautiful wedding car. And a great way to fit all of the bridal party in one vehicle! They're becoming more and more popular as a mode of transport for your big day! And I'm not surprised. They photograph amazingly and because they're classic cars they won't look "dated" when you're showing your wedding photos to your grandchildren.

AND as an added bonus you and your partner could drive away in it for your honeymoon after the big day and enjoy a weekend of romantic camping with a splash of luxury.

There are little ways you could include the VW camper into your wedding theme; cake, invitations or centre pieces.

And as for photo opportunities.... They're endless! I also love the way one florist has decorated the VW camper with flowers!

Spring Blossom Weddings

Good morning! Dare I even say that the sun is shining!!!
My inspiration comes today from the tiny buds of blossom coming on our trees at home, it makes you so happy to see after a long cold winter!

Blossom can make a wedding perfect. From laying on the floor to make a bridal walkway or falling as confetti.
Spring really is the best time to say I do!

Happy Easter!

Good morning and Happy Easter! Today I'm gonna keep it short and sweet (because us bloggers like to have a holiday too!) and give you an Easter Wedding mood board for you to feast your eyes on as you feast on chocolate! Using either tones of easter or tones of spring work well for this theme. And you can have great activities such as Easter Egg Hunts and egg decorating for guests to enjoy!
