Hobbits, Dragons and Weddings!

As we all become more excited by the build up to the release of 'The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug' this December, I couldn't help but post one of my favourite wedding ideas! This is such a great theme for any season, but best before the snow falls I think. And it is such a simple theme to achieve.

Of course, in-keeping with the book, you want to try and include small parts of the story. Perhaps you could have dragons around the room to represent Smaug, or you could use lots of rustic decorations and wildflowers to make you reception look like the Shire. Ladies can wear a floaty dress, with almost a medieval look, complimented by a floral headpiece. And the gents can soften the suit down by wearing more greens and browns, perhaps leaving the iron pressed shirt and going for something softer and simpler. And for the rings, why not buy replica rings of the One Ring to remember your day forever.

I think out of the pictures, the pony is my most loved. Dressed in flowers and beautiful for an outdoor wedding, a great touch to the day, and to any theme really! And the chocolate coins for favours to represent the treasure is just a fantastic treat for your guests.

Here is something to keep you going until the film release (and hopefully another trailer) before December 13th, 2013! (And to see the trailer, as well as keep up to date on all the movie news, check out the site http://www.thehobbit.com/index.html)

Blossoming Rainbows!

The rainbow theme seems to be one of our favourites amongst our readers lately, having written on dresses and theme inspiration in the past. So today, we will jump back into the colour burst again with rainbow bouquets! All girls know that the flowers are one of the most important things on their list, right up there with the dress. And when having such a bright and bold theme, you need a bouquet to match it! Here are some of my favourite rainbow themed bouquets to help give you some inspiration for your own flowers!

Winter Wedding Hair

Good Morning,

With the weather so cold and blustery, today's blog is from Gemma Lamb MUA.

Wedding hair this season is all about elegance and style. Creating Fabulas hair up styles, which say classy and winter chic.
Think amazing statement head peices, worn to the max to create impact or just add a twinkle with soft spiral clips.

Winter flowers make beautiful features, speak to your local flourist about what would be best to last all day,

Here's a glimps at my favourite styles...

Inspiration in Orange

Autumn is certainly here now. I've packed away my summer clothes and dug out my knitted jumpers and boots. One thing I love about his time of year is the changing colours of the trees. There are some beautiful colours starting to emerge! With that in mind here are some beautifully warm orange moodboard inspirations for your autumnal wedding.

Red Shoes

Want a simple way to make a little statement with your wedding outfit? How about choosing to wear red wedding shoes?

Such a little thing but it really does look fantastic! The red stands out amazingly with your white dress...
And you can accessorize easily too.

And if you fancy a Christmas wedding what a great colour theme.

Here are some beautiful red shoes to inspire you!

Ladies, Keep Warm!

Well I'd say the past weekend is an indefinite sign that winter is rearing its head and is most definitely on its way. And with weather reports saying to expect snowfall from November, its time to start thinking warm! Now, being on of these winter brides, this is something I have been thinking about too.

So what to choose? Of course, it is most important to match colour, but otherwise there are so many possibilities. You can choose a simple jacket, bolero, shawl, or even a cape. And to really make it feel wintery, how about adding some faux fur to them (I never condone the use of real fur!). Have a look at these for ideas!
