Good morning,
Today following on from Michelle's post of lady in red yesterday, today im looking at blue !
Blue as a wedding theme is beautiful. I love how it can be mixed with a variety of colours such as pink, yellow, green and orange all make striking corresponding colours. But my favourite?? Has to be the peacock feather! Simply stunning.
Blue is versatile enough to suit all types of wedding venues from barns to marquees and most hotels,

Lady in Red
Good morning everyone and happy Monday!
Being the year of the coloured dress trend, I thought I'd show off one of the most romantic of the colour spectrum. Red has been used since the late Stone Age for decorating bodies and since has been a symbol of the heart, romantic love and courtly love as well as seduction and sexuality. So what better colour to wear on your wedding day! It gives your groom the sign of love as well as making you look sexually appealing to your new husband. And the fact that it looks amazing! Of course you don't have to don a completely red dress, and can instead choose to have a gown with red detailing. And with big name designers such as Vera Wang creating ruby red beauties, it is sure to be a favourite. A great colour all year round, although preferred at Christmas and Valentines Day (for obvious reasons), it can also be broken up with a coloured sash, and below you will see a great example with a gold-ish looking shade being used. It is also a fabulous colour to wear if you want to have lots of sparkle incorporated into the design as it will stand out for the crowd to see.
Have a look below for some ideas.

Just imagine, what could be more fun than come the evening Olive becoming a Camper photo booth, with full use of all the props, and so much fun by all. Olive's Camper photo booth will be the talk for years to come. All photographs taken will either be put on disc or memory stick for you.
Also Camper candy bar - keep the children entertained with lots of yummy sweets and treats, of course not forgetting adults love sweets too! Tjis can be set up from the rear of the Campet or on a table in your venue.

How to Make Your Own Wedding Favours
This is massively overdue, but better late than never! My first blog I wrote was about wedding favours and I promised a follow up step-by-step guide on how to make your own wedding favours. So here it is;
As I'm sure you all saw Michelle did a Rockabilly photoshoot last week. I was asked to do the favours for the shoot and I thought what better time to do a tutorial for you all.
I wanted to produce little boxes (which could be filled with anything your imagination wished) covered in images of tattoos. These decoupage boxes are all different which is one thing I really loved about them.
These are quite niche but can easily be adapted to fit many different themes.
What you'll need;
- small favour boxes or cardboard and a box template
- your chosen images (I used images of tattoos cut from a tattoo magazine)
- glue
- scissors
- the contents to fill the box
1. I began by buying small plain white boxes from a wedding suppliers. I cheated at this stage as I wanted a quick result but you could easily download a template from the Internet and make your own boxes.
2. Check you know which surfaces will show by assembling one box. Then dissemble the box to enable an easier application of pictures.
3. Go through the tattoo magazine and select the appropriate images. Cut these all out and stop when you feel you have enough to cover the boxes (this is difficult to guess so don't throw away what you think might be excess until you are finished).
4. Play with the possible layout of the images on the boxes and when you're happy stick them on. My boxes had lids which covered the top third so I tried to ensure the best images were at the bottom two thirds of the boxes.
5. Assemble the boxes once all the decoupage is complete and ensure there are no blank spaces.
6. If you'd like to decoupage the inside as well then that's great but that part can be quite tricky. I added individual images of pin-up girls inside some of my boxes to give them a little more character.
7. Once completely dry (I let mine dry overnight) fill with anything from a thank you note, sweets, transfer tattoos or plant seeds (your main limitation is the size of the box and your budget).
And there you have it; a beautiful selection of favour boxes.

Are you sure you want to buy your wedding dress?
I did a blog a few weeks ago about not buying your wedding dress. So many people forget that the option is there for hire instead. Wedding dresses can be so expensive to buy and really who wants to spend that much money on a dress which is going to be worn once? This led me to thinking about what other options there are for wedding dresses to enable you to save money...
Hire
Why not hire your wedding dress? You're only going to wear it once and what will happen to it after your big day? Perhaps it's will sit in your wardrobe and you may pull it out once in a while to reminisce about how slim you used to be. Perhaps you'll show it to your children and grandchildren in the hope they'll want to wear it; but its likely it may never be worn again.
Buy vintage or second hand
Vintage dresses can be beautiful, and are incredibly fashionable at the moment, so why not buy (or hire) a vintage dress. Often vintage dresses have a price tag to match the "vintage" label so why not look into second hand wedding dresses which are newish as well. This may be good if you don't like the vintage look. They're much cheaper than buying new and will have probably only been worn for one day!
Borrow
Staying on the vintage theme, why not ask your Mum, Aunts and Grandmothers about their wedding dresses. You may get lucky and find a dress which doesn't look dated, which in fact looks beautiful still. And if you're fortunate enough to fit into the dress (or be able to have it altered to fit you) then why not borrow a dress from a family member and give it a new lease of life.
Make
If you're lucky enough to be skilled on a sewing machine you may be able to make your own dress. I know this wouldn't be an option for me; it would end up looking like a wonky pillow case most likely. However some of you may be able to follow this route and end up with the perfect dress for you.

The Big C Wedding Fair Round-Up!
Good morning!
Well what a lovely day we had on Sunday! For all of you those don't know, we had the chance to help out at the Scallywags Wedding Show in aid of the Big C. A cause that is very close my heart and affects so many people everyday.
Michelle Gregory did an amazing job, organising a dove release by Jill Burrage from wings for love, which symbolised all the people that have, or most importantly to me, a chance to remember the people that have passed due to the illness. A very touching service which was very special to a lot of people.
A fashion show was another big part of the day with members of the public donating pre loved wedding dresses, and the amazing bridal shops from around Norwich donating designer bridal gowns all to raise money for the charity.
A fantastic range of suppliers were there to offer there services to the brides and grooms looking round and we were on hand to help and offer our tips, services and advice!
Here's a few sneaky pictures from the day.

Rockabilly Wedding Shoot - Behind The Scenes!!!
As promised, today I am bringing you the behind the scenes action at our most recent photoshoot. Can't go into too much detail just yet, but as you can see, it was all about the 1950's, big hair rolls, and bright colours. So proud to have worked with such a fantastic team on the day (you all know who you are) to help Evissa's have such a successful shoot. Here is a sneek peek at the behind the scenes action of Wednesday's adventures!
