Sweets, sweets & more sweets !!

Good morning, after eating a whole bag of jelly babies yesterday today's blog must be a sweet invasion !!

Why have a sweet table?
It's all about the presentation ! Using a sweet table can enhance your theme and bring it to life. Go for a 60's grease lightning theme and no doubt a table full of popcorn will tantalise your guests and keep them dancing long into the night,
For beach and seaside themes it has to be a candy floss cart! Nothing says a walk down the seafront without a fresh whip !!
Colours for your wedding don't just have to be for flowers and bridesmaids dresses, enhance your reception by and bring a little cohesion to your reception.
By creating depth and height to your display with the use of jam jars or tall vases, hanging sweets from wishing trees you can sculpt a landscape to your table. Try wrapping old shoe boxes in wrapping paper to co-ordinate your table and blend your theme.
Use old trimmings... Details like old strips of linen, ribbons and paper cuttings can all add the finishing touches to your display, but don't go overboard. Less is always more.

Location.
Plan your location well, is there a nice backdrop to the corner of the room or is the centre of the marquee crying out for colour?
Make sure people can access all the way round so nothing will get knocked !

The candy !!
Colour is the main thing! As I have said before having a specific colour will draw attention and make your guest's excited!
Think about using different shades to if your scheme is pale pink jazz it up with fushia pink chocolate's in foil and if dark colours opt for striking boxes to put them on.

Not just candy,,
Consider these other options...
Candy floss
Popcorn
Fruit dipped in chocolate
Cookies
Cheese
Nut mixes
Mini cakes
Doughnut's
