Homemade Beauty Treatments for the Bride to Be!

Every bride (and groom) wants to look their best on their wedding day, however with weddings being so expensive, regular beauty treatments can be a cost you can't budget in. So why not try some homemade treatments? Not only are they super cheap, but they are all natural and can be made from things you probably have laying around in your kitchen cupboard! Here are some great face mask ideas for you today!

Honey Face Mask

  • 1tbsp honey
  • 1tsp olive oil
  • 1 egg yolk
Beat the egg yolk with the oil and then blend in the honey. Apply the mixture to your face and leave on for around 15 minutes, and then rinse off with warm water.

Avocado Face Mask
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • Splash of olive oil
Mash the avocado in a bowl and add a splash of olive oil to make the consistency smooth. Apply the mix over your face and let it set for around 20 minutes. Finally wash off with warm water.

Honey and Sea Salt Face Scrub
  • 4 tbsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp honey
Grind the salt a little so the pieces are not too big and then mix in the honey with the salt. Gently apply over the face in small circular motions to help exfoliate the skin. Wash off with a damp cloth.

Pineapple Face Mask
  • 4 large pineapple chunks (you can use canned pineapple for this as well as fresh)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
Using a blender, combine the pineapple and olive oil until it is like a smooth paste. Apply the mixture over your face and leave for 15 minutes to set. Finish by washing off with a damp cloth.

Banana Face Mask
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
Mash the banana in a bowl and add the honey and sour cream. Apply the mix to the face and let it set for 10 minutes. After, use a damp cloth to wash off.

Oat and Honey Face Scrub
  • 1 tbsp porridge oats
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • Splash of warm water
Mix the oats, honey and lemon juice in a small bowl, and then add a splash of warm water to thin to a spreading consistency. Gently apply the mixture to your face in small circular motions to exfoliate. Wash off with a damp cloth.
