At Evissa Weddings we specialise in small budget weddings. We're here to help you with as much or as little of your big day as you'd like. We will help you keep the costs and stress levels as low as possible. However, ask any woman what she isn't willing to budget on her answer is likely to be The Dress. And why should you? Every woman wants to feel like a million pounds/princess/supermodel as she walks down the isle. So instead of shelling out hundreds if not thousands for that gorgeous dress that you're only going to wear once why not hire instead of buy! It's such a simple, idea! Just ditch any hang ups about wanting to own it... It's only going to sit in your wardrobe and probably not have another outing.
As a friend pointed out to me it's the perfect solution for a small budget wedding, she can hire a designer dress (which she'll look stunning in), which she'd never be able to afford if she were buying it.
So if you're trying to save money on your wedding and you don't mind about not being able to keep your dress forever then why not HIRE your wedding dress!
No one sells designer dresses better than Carrie Bradshaw so here are some pictures of Carrie and the girls to inspire you... (Just to clarify I'm not saying that you have to get a designer dress; any wedding dress will be so much cheaper if you hire instead of buy. It's a simple solutions to an expensive problem)
A friendly blog for all things wedding from themes to dresses, for every type of couple!

You don't have to wear white
Happy Wednesday!
One of my closest friends is getting married next year and got very excited when she found out that Vera Wang have a collection of black wedding dresses. This got me thinking about how more and more women are choosing to wear colour for their wedding; and who can blame them with some of these stunning dresses on offer!
Not everyone wants to wear white, ivory or cream so I've put together a little selection of some coloured dresses I found on Pinterest... In almost every colour of the rainbow! My favourite are the blush, pale blue and grey colours. I think these are quite close to the traditional but with a small injection of alternative.
What would be your ideal wedding dress colour? I wasn't surprised to hear my friend had been thinking about alternative dress colours; it's individual and as I've already said, not everyone wants to wear white.
I'd love to hear what you all think of these fabulous dresses!

Green and Grey Inspiration !
Wow, what a day we had on Sunday! So many excited brides planning their wedding! I still get so excited every time a new bride tells me her plans!!
One that has stayed in my mind is a young girl with her mum who told me her theme was green and grey! A completely fresh look with a hint of Grey, for the guys! It has inspired me for today's blog so here is a mood board for this beautiful scheme!

Having a Ball
Its been the final weekend with the Six Nations on the TV, and so to honour this, I thought I'd have some rugby wedding inspiration on the blog today. Rugby is a huge sport in many countries, and increases its fan base every year. No doubt the men in the house were having a watch and many of the ladies as well! It's a great theme to use around your day if you aren't into pink and flowers, and also great for getting the boys involved.
And it couldn't be easier to use! Of course, you will want to implement lots of rugby balls into the day, whether it be in the photos or just the decor. And if you have a particular team or country you support (or if there is a rivalry in the house) use it too! You can find just about anything, from invites to favours with a rugby theme, its just a case of looking around, or getting creative with some DIY. Choose flowers to match the colour of you favourite team, and perhaps shoes as well. Men can do a similar approach to the superhero tshirt-under-shirt option but swap Superman for their country's shirt.

**Featured Supplier** - Norfolk Toastmaster
Today we are lucky to have the very kind and caring Norfolk Toastmaster, John Driscoll. Some of you may know of toastmasters and their role, others may be reading this for the first time going 'a toast-what?'. Read on to find out more!
*
Who are you?
John Driscoll…..caring about YOU
and ensuring excellence on YOUR special day. I belong to the English
Toastmasters Association (ETA) that is affiliated to the Royal Society of St.
George. In addition to being a Professional Toastmaster I am also able to offer
my services to any special occasion as a Sabreur of the Confriere du Sabre d'Or
in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which more simply
put means I am able to remove Champagne corks with a sword…..of course for both
I have more than adequate Public Liability insurance!
*
How did you get into Toastmaster-ing?
I have been a Professional
Toastmaster for 3 years although I acted in an informal capacity as an Master
of Ceremonies and Toastmaster for many years before this particularly at
Masonic and Civic events including Charity Balls and Dinner Events. I was
trained by the biggest training provider in the UK after being approached by a
family friend to act as a Wedding Toastmaster and got in touch with Richard
Palmer a Founder Member of the ETA. After being put through my paces on a
one-to-one basis by Richard and Linda over a four-day period the rest as they
say is history. That training certainly stood me in good stead as having
completed on the Tuesday I was approached by a large hotel to work as a Wedding
Toastmaster on the Saturday! I had only picked up my fitted uniform the Friday
before the event!

What services do you offer to brides?
As a Professional Toastmaster and Master
of Ceremonies, I care passionately about you and your special occasion. Much of
my working life has been about caring professionally for others. I have had a
nursing background that has included both clinical and academic careers and
continue to care for others with a self catering holiday business I also run
from my home in Overstrand, North Norfolk. I offer a range of professional services
that will bring that touch of finesse and style to any occasion by observing
the social niceties and correct etiquette and working within a strict Code of
Ethics. For instance;

Ceremonies (including Pink Weddings)

Significant Birthday
Celebrations
*
School Prom Nights
*
Fundraising Events
*
Masonic Evenings
*
Civic Functions
*
Conferences
*
Award Ceremonies
*
Celebrant and Baby
Naming Ceremonies
Favourite part of your job?
Working as a Professional
Toastmaster or Master of Ceremonies I am neither the Host or Guest at the event
but it is always an honour and a privilege to participate in and contribute to
significant and often joyful life events. In many ways I am the conductor of a
large number of players on the day whose combined role is to make your special
day the one you had both always dreamed of. I just love announcing the happy
couple in to the room for the wedding breakfast and to see their faces when the
room erupts on their arrival.

Surf's up!
Do you and your husband to be love surfing? Why not base your wedding around your shared passion? It may not be Hawaii, California or Australia (although amazing if you're planning a destination wedding!) but it is possible to have that laid back surf vibe here in the UK. If you've ever been to the coast and there's been some swell I'd be surprised if you didn't see people donning wetsuits and braving the currents to catch those waves!
Lets start with venue... The closer to the beach the better! And why not tell all your guests to bring their boards and wetsuits so everyone who wants to can have a group surf after the ceremony!
If you want a really relaxed day then the groom and his ushers could wear their board shorts... Or perhaps a little smarter in a suit... Maybe they could wear flip flops or trainers? And what about this sweet surfboard buttonhole! A floaty dress really goes hand in hand with a surfers wedding! As does a classic campervan for transportation. I adore these colours! Or if you can persuade them your friends could always carry you around on a surfboard!
This theme lends itself to some amazing photo opportunities!
Surf boards can be used for guest to write on (a giant guest book!), or perhaps beach pebbles...
Surf boards can also be uses for a lot of other uses... Menu boards, table plans, or just to set the scene. If you're wondering what food goes perfectly with a surf wedding I would say fish and chips. It's what me and my friends always eat after a session in the sea.
If you're lucky enough to have nice weather why not bring lots of cushions down to the beach too!
And as for the cake... I love these beach/surf inspired beauties!
And how about these novel ring photos.
Surfs up guys and gals!
