With a large element of green involved, this theme works best in Spring and Summer months, but of course you can do it whenever you want to. Mixing green and white can leave a clean, crisp and fresh colour palate to work with, and provide an easy basis to plan your wedding around. Mix in small motifs to fit the theme too, if you want funny, have leprechauns, if you want cute, have clovers, and if you want traditional, have Celtic designs.
Brides of course can wear white or ivory, and perhaps bring a sash of mint, emerald or jade green into play or maybe a sash covered in Celtic patterns to give a subtle Irish hint. The rest of the bridal party of course should be in green! once again, picking a shade of green and sticking to it is better as you don't want to have hundreds of different shades everywhere as the effect will be lost. Grooms can of course stick to whichever colour suit they like adding a green tie and cuff links to boost the Irish theme for them too. Or if they really want t go whole hog, how about a kilt with the Irish National tartan.
Decorate the room with lots of green plants, as well as hints of four leaf clovers and a bit of Irish black magic (by which I of course mean Guinness) around the venue. You can get fantastic miniature Guinness glasses which when filled make a great little canape drink! Invites should continue the green and white/ivory theme, using either cute clover prints, or Celtic patterns. Now, I know giving every guest a four leaf clover for luck would be an awesome favour, but really, who the heck has the time to pick out over 50 of the little things at least for you big day. Instead opt for clover inspired gifts, Guinness keepsakes, or my favourite (and very stereotypical... sorry) small pots of gold! With the gold being chocolate coins of course, unless you are rich!
Whatever you do, keep the luck o' the Irish with you!
