So, first I'll start with contact lenses. These fantastic little things are great! Being able to see, minus the glasses on your face. There are many options also, from daily wear to monthly wear lenses and clear to coloured to suit different lifestyles. Now, if you want to wear contact lenses, you need to go to an opticians to be assessed to check your suitability. You will need an up to date eye test for this also, although most places will allow you to do this all on the same day. And if the wonderful person checking out your eyes says its all good, you will be given a type of lens most suitable for your eyes (and price range). Then comes the big teach! this is wear a member of staff will sit with you and show you how to get the contacts in and out, as well as how to care for your lenses. Contacts are a great option for any bride who hates wearing specs, and the majority of people are suitable for them. They are great for your honeymoon too, meaning you can enjoy the time away without losing specs and going blind! Be sure if you sign to any monthly plan, that you read the small print as some opticians will offer on a monthly rolling plan, where as others will stick you with a 12 month contract. However, there are always risks involved so speak to your local optician of any concerns you may have and most importantly, NEVER buy contact lenses from a joke or beauty shop. It is illegal for them to sell these as they have no qualified optical staff on site, the lenses are not fitted for you, and they can cause various problems which can lead to eye damage.
Now, my favourite option, wear your specs! I love wearing my glasses, purple cats' eye shape, love em! And I know not everyone want to have big chunky specs either, which is why there are so many options available. There are of course, the thicker and fuller frames giving a retro feel from many brands, Superdry and Rayban have a great collection for men and women at the moment. And you can also go for something more sleek. Many designers have full, half and rimless frames which are far less conspicuous for a bride (and groom). Rimless frames are great for the bride who can't wear contacts, but really doesn't want to wear her specs, as they have no frame and can hardly be seen. Bvlgari, although more expensive, do exceptional rimless frames with Swarovski crystals down the arms. Have a look at these beautiful brides in their spectacles!
