A new trend has emerged in the wedding world, made popular by celebrities with the likes of Kate Middleton and Beyonce paving the way. It has always been around, but as wedding budgets increase, more and more brides are giving in to the temptation. Yes, I am talking about having a second dress for your wedding reception.
Don't get me wrong, it's not for everyone, I know myself that when I wear my dress, I will be wearing it all day and night (and with a price tag like it has, I'll be sleeping in it too just to make sure I get the use out of it!), but it is a great option for the ladies who want to strip down the layers to enjoy getting down on the dance floor in the evening. Perhaps you are having a Summer beach wedding but still want to wear that big Cinderella dress you dreamed of as a girl. This option means in the evening, you can have a quick change and stay cool in the warm and humidity of a Summer's night.
It's also a great way to have two different styles, for example having a princess ballgown during the day, and then changing into a cute knee length, vintage 50's style. From sheath styles to short styles, you can really go to town, and of course, you don't have to choose white, you can be as colourful as you want!
Places like Monsoon and Debenhams have a great range of gowns that are perfect for an evening dress, as well as checking out your local wedding boutiques.
Have a look at these to get some ideas!
