Life is a Song, Love is the Music

Sheet music is such a simple thing, available to find everywhere and yet, how many of us have ever considered it as a wedding theme? With vintage being a number one contender in the wedding world, nothing fits better than some old style music sheet, whether blank or containing songs. It is a great theme for anytime of year, and can be made to suit by using season flowers and colours, such as pink or a mint green in Spring or a ruby red during Winter. It is also a very cheap theme to use, with much of it able to be made by you as you can buy sheet paper, or even try the charity shops for old music books (which can look better as it will have a more vintage, worn look). And there are so many ways to incorporate this cost effective and yet beautiful theme into your special day.

How about printing off a song special to you both, roll and tie with a piece of lace and use as keepsake wedding favours for guests. Or make paper bouquets and buttonholes with sheet paper (or if you are like me, find someone to make them for you!). If you want real flowers, opt for simple shades and more rustic styles, trying to keep in season for a fresh look. Chuck some paper through a shredder and create cute and unique confetti. And the dress? Wearing something in cream or oyster can be a great fit.

A great touch can be hiring a musician to play during the day, such as a pianist, harpist or string quartet, not only continuing the theme, but giving a touch of elegance to the event. Have a look for some more inspiration!
