Why did you decide on a career in dove release?
My husband is a dog groomer and keeps pigeons (we have over 40 years experience of breeding and homing doves). One day there was a program on the radio about weddings and we turned to each other thinking what a great idea it would be to do dove releases! So we had a look online to do some research into this, how to get doves etc, and all we could find were American websites. So eight years ago, we decided to get into it seriously and Wings for Love was born. And I'll never forget the first wedding I did, as it was my daughters.
What do you offer to brides and grooms?
I offer a totally unique experience. Doves are very historical, being used for thousands of years as a sign f love and new beginnings, and the symbolism brings out an emotion people didn't know they had. We can do everything from proposals, weddings, christenings, funerals and any other event you would want doves at. We can also have a single dove up to forty doves released.
