28 ways to save for your wedding !!!!

Good morning !!!
Well today is all about how to save for that dream day! We want to save money but are we really cutting back where we should ?
Check our list to see what else you can do !

1) Cut the take outs !
Come on, if you haven't yet started your New Years diet then it's never to late! Just two take always a week can save you up to £40 that's £160 a month saving !

2) Making your own stationary!
What's better than an afternoon with girls! Turn the music up and get creative! Get out the glitter and card, some stencils and voila a home made invite ! Cheap and fun this can save you up to £400 !!!

3) Visit all the local wedding shows! Local companies will be giving away giving many freebies and make sure you enter all the competitions! From free bridal make up to £100 off your honeymoons- potential savings up to £150!!!

4) Monday, Tuesday, Friday or Sunday ? Midweek weddings can save you a fortune at your favourite hotel ! Just ensure you let your guests know to book the following day off!! Saving up to £3000!!

5) Flowers! Try to use flowers that are in season. Your local florist will be able to help you and advise you on colours and styles! Potential saving £500!

6) DIY decorations! Grab your sewing machines and raid your local fabric store! Handmade bunting is such a personal touch for a wedding, personalise it and design your own colours ! Perfect for a keepsake after the wedding! Saving of £200

7) Thinking of your hen night ? Look out for your local spas and health resorts offering two for one days ! Perfect for you and either your mum or best friend. Saving of £200!

8) Visit bridal shops to view all the sample sales. Out of season dresses can be the biggest cost saving of your day! £1000 could be saved !!

9) Check out all your favourite bridal ,against for money off with your favourite suppliers! Some retailers offer up to 25% off !!

10) When shopping for your rings negotiate with them for discounts on friendship bracelets and charms for your bridesmaids ! Money saved on gifts, £150

11) For the finishing touches buy meters of ribbon in your Chosen colour scheme, use it to tie round your cutlery, much cheaper than flowers and will add a personal touch! Saving £50!

12) Be honest! Talk and be honest with suppliers and vendors from the word go! Tell them your budget and stick to it! If they want your business then they will work to your budget! Saving up to £200

13) Looking for a borrowed item ? Ask your friends to see if you can 'borrow' their veil! A nice touch from your best friends and can save up to £150!

14) Love a bracelet to much ? Add a blue charm and make it your something blue! Recycle a old piece, could your your mums or Nanny's and it could be blue and old! Saving up to £20!

15) Having flower girls ? Buy them fairy wands instead of having flowers! Little girls love to be fairs and it doubles up as a great keepsake to ! Saving up to £25

16) Wanting a huge cake but your budget doesn't fit ? Ask your cake maker to make some dummy layers! Lots of suppliers do this for wedding shows and can add the tall elegant factor for half the budget ! Saving up to £150!

17) Looking to style your tables ? Use organza table runners to add instant colour ! These can be made or shop brought and with so many colours to choose from and at cheap prices you could even have matching chair sashs! Saving up to £200!

18) Got short hair ? Add a birdcage veil instead of a spending a fortune on a hairdresser and tiara ! Birdcages are bang on trend and with a vintage theme still one of 2013 top themes its an accessory that you can't afford to be without! Saving £200!

19) Use an old mirror or suitcase from a charity shop to use as a stylish table plan! For suitcases, decorate with wrapping paper to match your theme and tie ribbons with your plans to hang on, for mirrors stick your plan the glass and instantly have a glamorous plan!

20) Customise your second hand wedding dress with brooches and jewellery from antique shops and charity shops, DIY will completely transform an old dress, and will be completely unique to you! Saving up to £150!

21) Frame a nice picture of you and your fiancĂ© and display with a large backing card around it in your reception! It's a great alternative to a guest book and you can replace the picture with your wedding picture! Saving up to £50!

22) Subscribe to you top wedding mag! You can save £50 over a year and most give you a free gift to !

23) Mum looking for a hat ? Tell her to hire one, hiring hats can save a fortune ! And means you won't have to worry about storing it ! £200!

24) Search your local B&Bs near you reception venue and arrange a group booking for your guests, especially for a midweek wedding! They will be happy with the business and your out of town guests will have a place to stay ! £400

25) Looking for a funky pair of wedding shoes at a fraction of the cost ? Match your theme ! Think bright pink shoes to match your bridesmaids, and get girly with the camera to catch a great girly shot! Think adding wellies if its an outside barn venue ! Funky footwear is a hot trend! Saving up to £300!!

26) Collect jam jars and old tin cans, use the jars with ribbon tied round for cheap centrepieces and fill with stones and candles or fresh flowers and use tin cans with string round for an alternative idea! But don't for get to tie the cars to the wedding car for that 'just married' tradition!

27) Hang tissue Pom poms from your ceiling in the reception to add instead colour! And check the January sales for fairy lights to add instant romance! Saving up to £200 !!
