Hello lovely readers and what a beautiful Saturday we are having! Today is all about barnyard bliss. I love the idea of a rustic barnyard wedding, outdoors and warming. A great theme for the Summer and Autumn, it is simple and yet stunning. Greens, browns and pastel colours go perfectly with this theme. Use lots of wild flowers, leaves and wood to boost the rustic feeling alive in the day, mixed with homemade treasures, with jams and honey for favours, and candles in jars to add a subtle glow to the evening events. You could even have fruits on the tables for guests to eat and enjoy. Perhaps for the evening meal, you could swap a four course meal for a hog roast to fill your guests stomachs. This is also a great idea if you want to have a tiered Victoria sponge cake, as you can decorate with fruits and flowers, but keep the homely and rusticated feeling to the day.
Brides can wear simple dresses, lots of lace and floral headbands to continue the look. Perhaps put your groom in a shirt and braces instead of the full suit jacket, allowing him to feel comfortable on the day too.
There are always many barn locations for weddings dotted across Britain, and indeed the rest of the world. Really search for that perfect treasured venue to ensure you get the perfect one for you. Have a look below for more ideas!
